I don’t like getting interrupted. Occasionally I need to look up something in my email, but I don’t want to check new emails. There is an extension to avoid new emails or one can just use a url workaround. I use the workaround, but the number of incoming emails is still there and this bothers me. Let’s write a js user script to remove this number.
