I saw a BBC documentary about birds of paradise and was extremely surprised by their behavior. Basically they have plenty of food, so there is no competition for it and they have plenty of time as well. As a result, their mating rituals are bizarre (this is an understatement, check out youtube yourself and you will understand). I would like to understand more what causes such behavior and whether people have something similar.
